Casino War

There is no question about it, Casino War is the absolute easiest card game to play in the casinos. If you ever played war as a child, or made a bet on who could draw the highest card, then war will seem immediately familiar.

In the casinos, War is played with six decks of cards. Cards are ranked the same as in poker, with Aces high. Suite does not matter.

After the everyone has made their wagers, each player and the dealer shall get one card. Each player's card will be compared with the dealer's card. If any of the player's card are higher they win the even money. If the dealer's card is higher then the player loses.

If a tie occurs the player shall have two choices: either surrender and forfeit half the bet, or go to "war". If the player chooses to go to war he must raise the bet by an amount equal to the original wager. The dealer does the same but this is only for show. The dealer will then 'burn' three cards and give the player and himself another card each. If the player"s second card is equal to or beats the dealer then the player wins the even money on the raise only and the original wager shall push. If the dealer's second card is higher then the player will lose both bets. A tie bet is also available, this pays 10 to 1 if the first two cards tie.

Casino War - HOUSE ADVANTAGE

If the player decides to go to war on a tie the house edge is 2.88% and the element of risk is 2.68%. If the player forfeits on a tie the house edge and element or risk are both 3.70%. The house edge on a tie bet is 18.65%. The standard aberration in casino war is 1.05 .
